Kathy Blain joined Berno Financial Management in August 2010 as a Client Service Advisor. She works on a team basis with Bruce serving clients in providing comprehensive financial planning advice and investment management. Kathy’s focus at Berno Financial Management, Inc., is on clients’ portfolio management and on investment research for client education and analysis on current and prospective investments. She enjoys working with clients to help them achieve their financial goals.

Before joining Berno Financial Management, Kathy was employed by Fifth Third Bank in the Trust Investment Department as an Assistant Vice President, Senior Trust Officer. Kathy’s work experience includes managing trust portfolios, performing security analysis and research, developing investment strategies, developing programs to measure common trust funds total return performance, and new business development. Kathy and Bruce worked together at Fifth Third earlier in their careers. She is a graduate of Xavier University, where she earned a B.S. degree in Marketing and an MBA in Finance and Tax.

Kathy was born and raised on the west side of Cincinnati and currently lives in Anderson Township with her husband and four children. She has done volunteer work for Guardian Angels Church, St. Xavier High School, St. Ursula Academy, the Alzheimer’s Association, Hoxworth Blood Centers, and the Boy Scouts. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, reading and traveling.
