Our Clients

Long-term client relationships are essential to the success of our business. We are as careful about accepting new clients as you should be in selecting an advisor. Our primary goal is to serve our existing clients well (hopefully you can become one of them and then you’ll appreciate this philosophy!) and we have no interest in being a marketing machine. We are not a mass market, high volume shop. While our target market is high income, high net worth clients, those are relative terms. We have both qualitative and quantitative standards for accepting new clients.

  • First and foremost, our goal is to have clients we enjoy working with!
  • We don't care if a prospective client has a $10,000,000 portfolio and a $1,000,000 annual income if they don't share our values or aren't pleasant to work with.
  • We want to work with clients who want to be good family stewards: people who want to manage their finances successfully to provide for themselves, their families and, if they wish, charities.
  • Our clients, regardless of their stage of life, value a close personal relationship with our client service team. Our clients share traditional values of the importance of family, honesty and integrity. They seek to do the best they can do with their financial resources and do not succumb to get rich quick schemes or exotic strategies. Our clients retain our services because they do not have either the time or expertise, or both, to manage their personal finances or they prefer to spend their time on their career or family or personal interests.

Practicing what we preach, we have a diversified client base. Our clients include retirees, corporate executives (including Procter & Gamble employees and retirees), business owners, physicians, and other professionals.

Our quantitative standards are based on stage of life, annual income and savings rate, and the market value of investable portfolio assets. Our typical ideal client is a young accumulator (ranging from age 35 to 55 and saving a high percentage of income), or pre-retirement or early retirement stage of life with an investable portfolio of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
